LIMBO, directed by Razan Ghalayini, is a partially animated documentary that focuses on three men awaiting trial in a jail in Maryland. Unable to raise bail, they are in effect condemned to incarceration for an indefinite period even before they have been judged innocent or guilty of the offense for which they were charged–a situation which affects thousands of poor Americans each year.

LIMBO is part of “Take 5”, a series of five five-minute-long documentary films from Vox and the SundanceNow Doc Club confronting various social justice issues.
